Plot

In 1942, Steve Rogers is a sickly but determined young man who is rejected from the United States Army for the fourth time. After another failed attempt, Rogers is recruited by Dr. Erskine for the secret Project Rebirth. Erskine explains that the project is looking for a candidate to become a super-soldier, and that Rogers is the only one who meets all of the criteria.

Rogers undergoes a series of tests and is injected with the Super Soldier Serum. The serum enhances Rogers' strength, speed, agility, and durability. He is also given a special uniform and shield. Rogers becomes Captain America, and he is sent on a USO tour to promote the war effort.

During one of his USO tours, Rogers meets Peggy Carter, a British agent who is working with the Allies. Rogers and Carter develop a romantic relationship, and they work together on several missions.

One day, Rogers is sent on a mission to stop HYDRA, a Nazi organization that is developing weapons of mass destruction. Rogers learns that HYDRA has captured Erskine, and he goes to rescue him. However, Erskine is killed by HYDRA before Rogers can reach him.

Rogers vows to stop HYDRA and avenge Erskine's death. He leads a team of soldiers on a mission to destroy HYDRA's headquarters. The mission is a success, and HYDRA is defeated.

Rogers and Carter are reunited after the war, and they plan to start a life together. However, Rogers is frozen in ice while trying to stop a HYDRA agent from destroying a plane. He is found and revived by the Avengers in the present day.
