Apex Legends: The Basics
Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released on February 4, 2019, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is set in the same universe as the Titanfall series, but it is not a sequel or prequel.
In Apex Legends, players compete in teams of three to be the last squad standing. Each player chooses a Legend, a character with unique abilities, and then they are dropped onto a map to scavenge for weapons and equipment. The last team standing wins the match.
Apex Legends is a fast-paced and action-packed game that requires players to use their skills and teamwork to survive. The game is also very accessible, with a variety of characters and playstyles to choose from.
The Characters

The Maps
There are currently four maps in Apex Legends:
- Kings Canyon: The original map, Kings Canyon is a desert-themed map with a variety of different biomes, including a forest, a swamp, and a city.
- World's Edge: A frozen-themed map, World's Edge is located on the planet Talos. The map features a variety of different biomes, including a snow-covered forest, a frozen lake, and a volcanic crater.
- Olympus: A floating city-themed map, Olympus is located in the sky above Psamathe. The map features a variety of different biomes, including a cityscape, a park, and a beach.
- Storm Point: A tropical island-themed map, Storm Point is located on the planet Gaea. The map features a variety of different biomes, including a beach, a jungle, and a mountain.
The Modes
There are currently three modes in Apex Legends:
- Battle Royale: The main mode of Apex Legends, Battle Royale is a free-for-all mode where up to 60 players compete to be the last squad standing.
- Arenas: A 3v3 mode where players compete to be the first team to win three rounds.
- Ranked: A ranked mode where players compete to earn rewards and climb the ranks.
